It’s always exciting to see a student lead where they are by living well, and taking the opportunities presented to share the gospel. John is one such student.
God has been giving John some great opportunities to minister to his teammates this semester on the Florida A & M University baseball team. He is currently leading a small group Bible study which many of his teammates participate in. The group has been facilitating some great discussions! One week the group didn’t meet because of a schedule conflict John was having. But the other players urged him not to cancel it anymore because they were enjoying it so much! It’s so true that “The words [Jesus has spoken] are spirit and they are life.” (John 6:63) The truth of God’s word is life-giving!
Today John and I had the pleasure of giving each player one of these sports-theme New Testaments at a practice.
Please pray that these student athletes would read these New Testaments and take to heart the truths they contain.
